Negotiations resumed this week in Kansas City, Missouri.  Present for the Company were Margaret Soda, VP-Human Resources as spokesperson, Gary Pratt, VP-Maintenance and Marcus Valentino, Director-Labor Relations. Your full Union negotiating committee were present and again joined by Grand Lodge Representative John Werkmeister.

Multiple passes occurred this week relating to all remaining open economic items with progress being made in many areas. There again were significant moves made by the Company that represent considerable value, however we still are apart on a few items and will continue to work on closing the remaining gap in those areas. This week in CLT, negotiations were convened under the supervision of the NMB and staff mediator Jack Kane.  Present for the Company were a few new faces on the Company’s negotiating committee including Margaret Soda, VP-Human Resources, Marcus Valentino, who has been hired as the new Director-Labor Relations, and Karl Hanisch, Director of Maintenance.  Your full Union negotiating committee was present and again joined by Grand Lodge Representative John Werkmeister.

IAM / PSA AIRLINES NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE – Sep 2, 2017

Yesterday afternoon, a conference call was conducted and led by Jack Kane, staff Mediator for the National Mediation Board (NMB), myself and Margaret Soda, VP of Human Resources for PSA.  On that call, we discussed information about the history and scheduling of bargaining sessions and selected dates for continued meetings under the auspices of the NMB.

I am pleased to announce that we have secured meeting dates that include the weeks of September 25 in CLT and the weeks of October 9 and 23 with the locations TBD. We are hopeful that progress can be made in these sessions
