Washington, D.C., November 9, 2016 — Bob Martinez, International President of the nearly 600,000-member International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), released this statement on the election of Donald Trump:

National and local labor leaders to hold largest election “block walk” in Charlotte

Charlotte, NC, October 13, 2014: The Southern Piedmont Central Labor Council affiliation of the NC State AFL-CIO is holding a Get Out the Vote canvass in Southwest Charlotte on Saturday October 18th, 2014.

“We are expecting dozens of volunteers representing local unions and special guests AFGE National President J. David Cox and NC State AFL-CIO President James Andrews” said event organizer Ashley Hawkins Howard.
