New IAM Pension Application Procedures

Effective January 1, 2019 the Benefit Fund Office (BFO) of the IAM National Pension Fund (IAMNPF) will implement a change to in the Pension Application procedures to ensure compliance with the Fund’s rules.

The IAMNPF Summary Plan Description states: “You will be considered as having applied only when the Fund Office has received all parts of your completed application and any required supporting documents.  Payment cannot begin before the completed application is received.  Your application will have an expiration date, which is within 180 days of your request for it.  Your completed application must be received in the Fund … Read More...

Association Negotiations Update

Brothers and Sisters,

THE TWU/IAM Association executive negotiating committee participated on a conference call conducted by National Mediation Board mediators yesterday, December 14, 2018. Negotiators from American Airlines also participated. 

The mediators recapped the remaining open items to be negotiated. They also set the agenda and negotiating schedule for the beginning of 2019. The Association presented our objections to the Company’s proposal covering Field Trip Guidelines for M&R and MLS members and further discussion towards resolution will take place in SFO, as time permits.

2019 IAM Transportation Conference Delegates

The election for delegates to the 2019 IAM Transportation Conference was held during the regular business meeting on December 13th, 2018. 

The delegates that will represent Victory Lodge 1725 from district 142 will be: Maureen Kelly, Ken Coley and Mark Heim. 

There will be a run off election on January 10th, 2019, during the business meeting only, for District Lodge 141, for the 3rd delegate. The two confirmed delegates are Mike Knoble and Daryl Current. National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 will expand benefits for disabled veterans

Service-connected disabled veterans and their families will soon have access to certain new privileges—several of which have been long-standing DAV legislative priorities—under the recently signed John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019.

Beginning in January 2020, service-connected disabled veterans and their caregivers will be eligible to use base commissaries and some Morale, Welfare and Recreation facilities on bases worldwide.
