Attached is the Redlined Edition of the Tentative Agreement (TA) between Southwest Airlines and the IAMAW. Over the next few days, the General Chairs and members of the Negotiating Committee will be visiting the stations to conduct informational sessions where you will be able to ask questions and receive answers regarding the new Tentative Agreement. We are proud to announce that we have reached a new Tentative Agreement with Southwest Airlines for Customer Service, CS&S and SOS groups. We would like to thank you for your patience and your feedback during the survey.

We would also like to thank Airline Coordinator Thomas J. Regan, Grand Lodge Representative Jeff Tobius and Mediator Gerry McGuckin from the National Mediation Board for their guidance through this process.

Sisters and Brothers: Your Negotiating Committee met with Southwest Airlines on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, March 2nd, 3rd and 4th to continue the dialog on the issues related to the failed Tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement and the membership survey results. 

One of the top concerns voiced by the membership, which is no surprise to anyone, was Mandatory Overtime. This issue was expressed both at ratification meetings and on the survey responses related to Quality of Life.

IAM District Lodge 142 Trusteeship Hearing Update

Dear Sisters and Brothers of IAM District Lodge 142,

On February 16, 2022, a Special Trial Committee, comprised of three uninvolved IAM officers, conducted a hearing pertaining to the trusteeship of District Lodge 142. On March 15, the Special Trial Committee submitted its recommendation to the IAM International President to continue trusteeship of District Lodge 142. On March 17, the International President concurred with the decision to continue trusteeship, as seen in correspondence in the enclosed letter.
