The IAMAW will return to the negotiating table with Southwest Airlines and the assigned mediator Thursday, February 24 and Friday, February 25, 2022. The negotiations will resume in Dallas, Texas at the Southwest Airlines headquarters.

The sharing of information with you continues to be a priority for your negotiating committee and will continue by Bulletins like this. We have been advised some members are having problems with the survey. If you attempt to complete the survey on your phone, and you are using an android phone, there is a problem in selecting your station. If you have this problem, here is the work around. The work around is to select the 3 dots in the top right corner, drop down to and select “desktop site.”

Following these steps will allow you to complete the survey on your android phone.

Southwest Airlines Failed TA Survey

As was previously communicated on November 5th, alongside the ratification results, your Union created a survey to get your feedback on why the Tentative Agreement failed.

Contained within the survey are many of the reasons we heard during the ratification meetings, and also provided a space for you to enter any additional reason(s) not already mentioned. Southwest Airlines Members Reject Agreement

After over three years of negotiations, your negotiating committee was able to reach a tentative agreement with Southwest Airlines. The committee fought hard for the issues the members raised in their proposals and they felt they accomplished what the members demanded – an improved quality of life for all members.

Over the last eight weeks, District General Chairs, along with negotiating team members, have been visiting all locations and centers to answer questions and concerns of the tentative agreement. Southwest Airlines Vaccine Mandate Update

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Yesterday, Southwest leadership met with all labor leaders for an update on the Vaccine Mandate Policy and the potential enforcement process. The company explained the accommodation procedures, as it is currently being considered by the carrier, and is urging employees to file requests for such exemptions. The company will actively engage in processing and approving the requests on an individual basis in a reasonable manner. Although Southwest Airlines is still in the process of determining what these accommodations will be, what is certain, unpaid leaves of absences and terminations are off the table.

The joint Alaska Airlines Negotiating Committee continued negotiations with Alaska Airlines management February 5-6, 2019 in Seattle, Washington.

Represented by the Company were: Shane Tackett, Executive Vice President/Strategic Planning; Wayne Newton, Vice President/AOCS; Jason Berry, Managing Director/Cargo; Bob Hartnett, Director/Labor; Jeanne Davis, Director/Call Centers; Denise Kliskey, Manager/Labor; Rebecca Meissner, Senior Attorney; and Melinda Maher, Division Controller.

IAM PSA Airlines Implementation Information

With the memberships acceptance of the Tentative Agreement last week, work began shortly thereafter on implementation and associated timelines. Conversations began Friday towards the first steps needed. I am pleased to report to you that with the support of your Negotiating Committee, we discussed and agreed with the Company to make all wage provisions pursuant to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement effective with the new pay period beginning today, April 2, 2018. IAM PSA Airlines Ratification Vote Information

Voting on the recently released 2nd Tentative Agreement reached with PSA Airlines was conducted yesterday in CAK, DAY, CVG, CLT GSP, ORF and SAV. With approximately 70% of the total membership participating in this ratification, the Tentative Agreement was approved by a majority of those who voted.

Work will begin immediately on proofing of a final document for printing and we will proceed to signing this ratified CBA so as not to delay any of the changes contained within.
