Victory Lodge 1725 Wins PR Latta Award at NC AFL-CIO Convention

The NC AFL-CIO kicked off its 62nd Annual Convention in Charlotte, Thursday, Sept. 19. The two-day convention brought together labor, community, and political leaders from across North Carolina to discuss ways to fight for a better future through organizing efforts, political power, and community building.

One of the highlights of the convention each year is the presentation of the PR Latta Award for outstanding service to the labor movement. The award is named after PR Latta, a longtime labor leader with the Communications Workers of America who passed away in 2014 at the age of 95.

This year’s award went to Victory Lodge 1725! Our lodge is not only doing amazing things in the labor movement and the community but we are also getting recognized for what we are doing. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed!

The pictures below show our President Craig Vanderhoof, along with Vice President Joe Behan and members of the Executive Board, Legislative and MNPL Committees, accepting the PR Latta Award on behalf of Victory Lodge 1725.
