Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Negotiations resumed this week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with the Union and Company conducting the meetings virtually. Your entire negotiating committee was present as was the Company’s. We may conduct one additional meeting virtually before reverting to in-person meetings again. The virtual meetings have been beneficial in keeping the pace moving as we negotiate our way through the economic piece of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
During this week, successive passes were made on the remaining economic articles: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 25 & 28. Tentative Agreements were reached in articles 16 & 17. Aside from a new training article 20, this represents the balance of Articles that were driven by the memberships proposals, and which remain open.
Additional dates for negotiations are set to occur during the week of November 7, 2022 and will occur again virtually. As always, the sharing of information with you continues to be a priority for your negotiating committee and will continue by bulletins like this. Our goal remains to make sure you have the most up to date information concerning negotiations. Don’t forget to add a personal e-mail address to the District Lodge 142 database for future PSA or other communications by clicking the red “Join Our Email List!!!” button on the District Lodge 142 website at www.iamdl142.org. If you have any questions about this process, please give me a call at (859) 653-4037 or email at email@example.com. With best wishes we remain,
Sincerely and fraternally,
John M. Coveny, Jr.
