Women's History Month
March is the month that we honor and remember the many contributions and roles women have played and continue to play in society.
The 8th of March is recognized as International Women’s Day. It’s a day when the world can reflect on the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements that women have made in the world. This day is a day that we can stand together and celebrate the call for gender equality.
I would LOVE to see our Union Brothers, Sisters, and Siblings recognize Women’s month by wearing Purple, Green, and White on Women’s Day, March 8th, 2023.
Purple signifies justice, dignity, and being loyal to the cause.
Green Symbolizes Hope.
White is indicative of the purity of our hearts and actions toward one another.
In Solidarity,
Lisa Leathers
Women’s Committee Chair.
