Sisters and Brothers:
On February 6, 2017 the IAM met with Alaska Airlines for continued discussions of the Award and Order of the recent HMO Arbitration. This discussion was focused primarily on determining a remedy for past overcharges of health care costs for our COPS Employees enrolled in an HMO.
Although we were unable to come to an agreement yet on the remedy, we believe the discussions with the Company were positive and these discussions will continue over the next week.
We will continue to keep you updated on our efforts to secure full relief for all affected Alaska Airlines employees.
