Sisters and Brothers:

Over the past month, the leaders of most of the major airlines, along with union leadership and members have been on Capitol Hill to push Congress to act immediately to pass a clean extension of the Payroll Support Program (PSP). There are only six days remaining before the PSP expires, and without a clean extension, hundreds of thousands of airline workers face the possibility of being furloughed.

The House of Representatives Needs to Vote YES on the 2018 FAA Reauthorization Bill H.R. 4!

The House of Representatives will be putting the FAA Reauthorization Bill H.R. 4 to a vote this Thursday, April 26th.  We need every IAM member to contact their House Representative and tell them to vote YES on H.R. 4.

IAM Lobbying Results in FAA Provisions for Customer Service Agents and Flight Attendants

The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Friday introduced the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act of 2018. The proposed five-year bill includes language that would provide protection for customer service agents from physical abuse and also gives flight attendants a minimum rest of at least ten uninterrupted hours.
The IAM has been aggressively lobbying Congress to adopt this pro-airline worker language, meeting with lawmakers from both parties and holding rallies on Capitol Hill. IAM members have also called members from the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, urging them to support these changes.
